    bloodwork 1xWeek/2xWeek

I just had my 6 month check up today and thought this might help to share with others. I've been doing 60mg/twice weekly, but I decided I wanted another comparison against 120mg once weekly so I switched to once a week 5 weeks before blood work. The results:
    12/4/14: 60x2
    Total T 795 (250-1100)
    Free T 218 (35-155)
    E2 41

    9/14/15: 120x1
    Total T 318 (250-1100)
    Free T 110 (35-155)
    E2 48

Yep, definitely sticking with x2 a week. I knew it was working, but I always feel better with first hand results to go by.

I always pull blood work on the day a pin is due, prior to pinning.

Doctor has me on once per week however I inject at home and typically do a half dose twice a week. I'll get my blood results next week to see where I am. Thanks for lab results showing your differences.

Be careful with that. Your doc may see a higher level and want to reduce your dose. Be prepared to explain yourself....

Anticipated that actually so returned to his suggestion 2 weeks before this blood draw. Should be enough to metabolize what I had. When I get the results of these labs I'll do my own thread to do a comparison between no therapy vs with. Should know in a week. With that said, thanks for looking out.

Yes, keep us posted. It would be better if you felt comfortable communicating with your doc about changes in protocol so you could get blood work pulled without switching back, but only you can determine that. Maybe try asking about it this time to plant the seed....see if he/she seems open to the 2x week method. If not, switching back to 1x week a few weeks prior to blood work is your best bet. I'm fortunate that my doc keeps things open, my script allows for up to 200mg/week, but I don't take that much and just communicate openly what I'm doing so he knows how to interpret the blood work. Trust is key in a good Dr/patient relationship, but I know not all are that lucky.

I talked with my doc and told him I wanted to dose twice a week, Monday am and Thursday pm. He ok'ed and said to get blood drawn on Thursday am.

As others have said communication it the key.

Is my plan to discuss 2x weekly vs 1x. He seems to be fairly open minded about things. However he is anti sub-q if I were looking for his blessing to pursue that method.
