    Supplements HRT/TRT guys take

Just curious as to what y'all supplements are along side your HRT/TRT protocols.

Do all doctors prescribe some of the same things?

    Are some preferred over others?

I see D3, DIM, and few others that are common, just trying to wrap my brain around what the synergism is between them all.

DHEA and Preg are mentioned in the stickies but an actual list has not been done, to my knowledge at least. D and P are more based on need via individual BW due to chol pathways being basically shut down. The rest are more subjective I guess, fish oil for triglycerides, zinc to help with E2, D if needed and most in N. America surely do, etc.

It's an interesting thought but I'm not sure how it would be put together. The chart would have a lot of pathways for sure!

I think there's just too many variables. There are a few supps (mentioned) that are "the norm" but to nail it down individually, I can't imagine it. I'd probably recommend guys look at something like this:

    https://examine.com/store/reference/

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QqammCe1AUs

I've mentioned this site here frequently as about the best, unbiased one there is regarding supplements. I've talked to the owner several times via cell and he's a super individual. Brilliant guy.

I don't take anything for a specific reason pertaining to my TRT, but here's what is typically in my cabinet...

    - NAC
    - Vitamin D
    - Zinc
    - Glucosamine & Chondroitin
    - Magnesium
    - Fish oil
    - Vitamin B complex

Yes. If you have doubts about what you're taking and why then definitely. It's a goal oriented supplement guide.

I'll have to invest in it. I'm curious on natural methods of improving health conditions and achieving goals.

I'm curious if any of the guys on TRT supplement with any of these;-

Boron- read that 10mg daily increased free T by up to 28% in some trials

Magnesium- 1g can lower shbg by 24% in trials

Cod liver oil - increase LH production and reduce shbg

Gaba? A long chemical name, Gamma etc...but helps for stress, anxiety, helps to calm down at the end of the day. ( I suppose during the day too....)

Nac twice daily, melatonin 3mg at night.

I used to take 1mg melatonin, when i ran out i couldn't find it at the drug store at that dose. 3mg works ok too, but i have a hard time waking in the morning

Taking too much melatonin is actually detrimental to sleep patterns potentially. You have to find just the right amount for you. One also should cycle on and off due to its purpose being to solely help you adjust to sleep disturbances. 6-8 weeks on followed by a week or two off is suggested. One could switch off to a gabba product during that time if need be, it's just as effective in my opinion.

Agree with finding the correct dose for you. Disagree that you have to come off of it as it's not dangerous nor is there any down-regulation associated with it. That said, taking a break from it is harmless as well.

I should've specified, you don't have to come off, but it will lose its effectiveness with uninterrupted prolonged use. Also, it will vary from person to person. I had great luck at 3mg for several months until it didn't seem to have the same result for me after that time period. I alternated with gabba, melatonin and cannabis to see which had the greater and longer lasting result for my sleep pattern.

I do take time off from it occasionally, but it seems every Sunday i need to take it (completely awake when it's time for bed).

I may start splitting the tabs, they're tiny though so it may be difficult

This was, and is, an issue that has always troubled me. I'd hoped when I got on trt my sleep would improve, but my life circumstances prevented that. Now those circumstances are in my favor and while my sleep average is up I still don't sleep like I did in my twenties.

At age 39 now I can't help but think it's def more age related. We get older and our hormone patterns change and decrease. Sucks. Wish I could sleep 10-12 hours like i used to back in the day lol

It happens to some people. Try cutting the dose in half. Best thing about Cialis is it works quicker than the others and lasts much longer. And I'm referring to it's overall health benefits.

With me being 27, is it okay to take all of the vitamins/supplements suggested in this thread? I know some of them are for prostate health, among other things so I'm just curious if I should worry as much about these? I already take Cialis, but just as needed. The compounding pharmacy I have only has 7.5mgs and they are very expensive still. Would it be okay to take these every other day or do I need to take them daily?

Also, do you guys have suggestions on dosing for the b12 methyl, NAC, and DHEA?

I currently take Calcium with D3 added (1000 D3 added), is this sufficient?

My current TRT protocol is 150mg 1x a week, 250iu HCG 2x a week, and .25 EB 1x per week.

    Thanks
