    AI Needed?

I am 6' 3" 205 lbs been lifting off and on for 8 years now. I was recently diagnosed with low test. 310 total Test, Estrogen was 27. My endo prescribed me 300mg/week Test cypionate to start. Yes that's right I said 300mg a week. I was in awe that she started me so high. I think I won the doctor lottery. I asked her if that would mess with estrogen levels and she said she will give me Letrozole if it does raise too high. So here I am taking 300mg a week, no AI prescribed yet, and my next bloodwork is not for another 7 weeks. Does this sound right? Shouldn't she have given me an AI at first or do you think she just wants to see where I'm at after 2 months? Just wanted your thought on my situation.

I would have used a small dose AI with that much testosterone but 7 weeks until blood labs in fine, I'm sure if you need it then the blood labs will tell the story.

Thanks for your feedback. Greatly appreciate it! I'm thinking the same. I'll call the doc if I see or feel any sides. Thanks again!

That's a ridiculous amount of testosterone for HRT. It's basically a low dose cycle. I know of no one other than maybe an extreme hyper-excreter who have used that amount. At a minimum that dose should be cut in half. TRT is about balance and achieving a normal healthy level of testosterone. More specifically free testosterone as that is what works for us.

When it comes to an AI you are guaranteed to have problems with that amount of T. It may not be immediately noticable but your E2 will eventually go through the roof. Gyno is not the only side effect of high estrogen. Some guys are simply not prone to gyno. You will more than likely have hemoglobin and hematocrit issues as well. Meaning thick blood requiring donations. Was HCG even discussed?

All in all, your doctor doesn't understand testosterone. I'd find another. But if you're happy with her you can reduce the dose as stated and surely bank a lot of testosterone.

My TRT doc did the same thing saying that only 50% of men on a standard TRT dose need an AI, however you are lucky you doc gave you 3 times with mine does. If you E2 is high you will first notice a little bulge around the middle. The main things to do while you wait for your next blood work and apt are to not eat estrogen producing foods such as anything with soy 3 High-Estrogen Foods to Avoid for Men and eat lots of broccoli

Thank you so much for the feedback. No HCG was not discussed. I will more than likely drop it to 200mg a week and bank it. Again thank you!!

Bet you could drop it to 60-75mg 2x/week.
