10lb gain in 4wks?
4 weeks into 120mg per week of testosterone cypionate and I'm up 10lb yet I'm on ketogenic diet too. Wife says I'm more muscular and clothes looser on legs yet tighter wherever body part I train.
Would you say 10lb in 4wks is a little too much?
I'm training dips and presses alot too. Sticking with mass/strength building exercises.

you really think he has high estrogen causing 10 pounds of water weight off a measly 120mg of test per week .
not likely.
OP.. you were probably glycogen depleted when you started this cycle. the exogenous test is simply helping you load intercellular water, glycogen, minerals and nutrients into the muscle cells that were depleted. this can easily result in 10 pounds in weight gain. and not any of it be bloat or edema, as all of it may very well be inside the muscle cell.

Thanks for the replies guys. I really appreciate it.
My muscles do look fuller and I don't look like a water filled balloon.

Agree, most likely explanation. I doubt that E would spike high enough off of 120 per week. Another explanation is that you are recovering faster from workouts. When you are in a chronically over trained state, IGF-BP3 (hence IGF-1) down regulate. If IGF-1 levels suddenly spike due to faster recovery, there will likely be water retention. More like, lack of dehydration than retention. probably the combination of added glycogen and IGF-1 account fro wht you observed. This should plateau soon and probably drop as your body reached a new equilibrium. You are a moving target the first 4-6 weeks of TRT. Lots of things changing all at the same time.
BTW, Are you splitting that dose up, or is it one big weekly dose? If not, you really should consider splitting it into at least 2 injections per week. Check out the thread in the stickies called "Best Practices in TRT" for a more in depth discussion and illustration graphs.

Youthful55guy.
Thanks for the reply, I'm going to look into what you stated more as I'm not too clued up on the igf spikes due to excessive training.
My strength has gone up pretty remarkably too. Repping out 5 rep maxes for sets of 10 now with more easiness of weight from sets 2-5.
I'm also pinning 60mg Monday and Thursday.

I’ve been on my new cycle 2 weeks and gone up 10lbs it’s just my body is absorbing all depleted water, cells are splitting, I run creatine but I chase it with salt so it activates quicker I think that is pushing my weight up to ...plus I’m eating tons load more
