Starting TRT after a cycle
Age: 43
5'11"
208 lb
16-18% bf
I'd like to get on TRT for all the benefits it offers. I contacted my insurance company and they will cover a script for Test-C 100/200. They also said for Test-C there is no required blood work needed. Which means my $10 co-pay will cover the Test-C. I did not ask about HCG .
Here is my question. I just started a 10 week Test-C cycle (400/week). I would like to start TRT after this cycle ends so how long after the cycle ends should I see a trt doc and get my blood work done? Should this be done after PCT or skip PCT and go to the doc instead?
Looking for some advise on the matter.
thanks

Do you really need TRT? Yes, there are benefits to TRT but they only come into play if you really need it. It's also attaching you to a needle for the rest of your life. If it were me I'd want to know what my real levels are to make an informed decision. I'd hate to initiate TRT when I may not have needed it for another 5 or 10 years.
Personally, I'd run your cycle (and 10 weeks really isn't enough for long estered test) and then do your pct. Wait at least 8 weeks post pct and then pull BW. Be sure to include LH & FSH in your BW. This shows pituitary function which shuts down when on exogenous testosterone .

Thank you kelkel. I'll do as you suggest and wait a couple of months after PCT to get blood work done.

You also want to think big picture and complete context when you get bloodwork done after PCT. Maybe your bloodwork ends up high average - is marrying the needle worth 100 or 150ng higher score ? Plus there's added costs and you become responsible for managing your endocrine system. It's not just jab a needle of testosterone in your body every week and call it done.
Some points to consider during your morning poop.I no longer check my inbox. If you PM me I will not reply.
