Quitting TRT For Purely HCG
For the last five years I've been injecting 100mg Cypionate every five days and 250IU of HCG daily to restore my testicles and libido. Also take .5 pill of Arimadex twice a week but that drives down my Estrodiol to 5 and 6 when it should be low twenties so maybe I should reduce that?
My question is what about quitting Cypionate altogether and just pinning HCG? I'm a 67 yo competitive athlete and in great shape.

I've heard of people trying an HCG only protocol but not many with success. My original hormone doc (an expert in the business) said that the amount of HCG you would need would cost a small fortune. Also, keep in mind that HCG will suppress your HPTA to the same extent that it stimulates T production.
As for your current protocol, If E5D is working then you stick with it. I personally prefer more frequent dosing so that the ups and downs are less dramatic.
Regarding your use of Arimidex , in my humble opinion that is way too much and E2 level of 5 or 6 is extremely low. I'd ditch the AI all together.

Kudos to being active at your age - your already ahead of 95% of the North American population at that age bracket.
I would ditch the AI I would bet you'd feel a million times better within a week or two.
I don't want to sound dramatic, but at 67 years old with 5 years into HRT, I think your chances of recovering and going off Test are slim to none.I no longer check my inbox. If you PM me I will not reply.

FYI. Here's a very informative article I recently posted in another string that may be helpful on the role of Estrogen in men. Bottom line being in the normal range is good. Being low is bad and being slightly higher than the high side of normal is much better than being low. There's a lot of controversy on how high you can/should go.
Also, there's a lot of bad press in the bodybuilding community on estrogen and gynecomastia . Since you are not messing with synthetic anabolic hormones that have progstin activity, E2 control is not as important as it is for them. Don't get sucked into the argument that any estrogen is bad.

Interesting read. I didn't see anything in there about ratios though.
My doc was concerned that even though my Free Test is good now (20.1 pg/mL) my Estradiol is higher (30.4 pg/mL). He says you don't want it to be higher than your Free Test, so he upped my AI dosage.
