Can too much testosterone cause ED? what the hell is going on with my penis?

Im a 31 year old male, 6'3, 230, maybe 15% BF, been on TRT for about 5 years. 180mg/wk of test cyp and 500iu of hcg 1x a week and .5-1mg of Adex a week.

Okay, so, long story short, I've been on trt for roughly 5 years, I started off at 100mg of test 1x a week and 1000iu of hcg. I never felt like that was enough and my doc basically wrote me a script for 200mg of test a week and 2mg of adex and 1000iu of hcg and said to play around with it and find what works best for me and as long as my blood tests don't get wacky hes basically okay with whatever. My last labs were 3 or so months ago and its was the day of my shot (but taken before) and I was around 750 total test and 25 estradiol and everything else looked really good. I felt amazing and I was running a protocol of 160mg of test a week, .5mg of adex and 500iu of hcg. I decided to bump it to the numbers that I posted in the beginning of my post after my labs were done and I felt amazing, im in the best shape I've been in probably 8 years, I started a running routine around 4 months ago and have worked my way up to 5 mile runs 4x a week, everything was going full steam ahead until maybe 6 weeks ago, my dick just died. Usually when this happens my estrogen is a little wacky and I have to take a guess as to whether to take a little extra adex or leave it alone and I usually just pop a little extra adex and its fixed the next day, if its not I take a little extra hcg and wait a week and im right as rain but this time is different. My sex drive is there but its not great, I cant get hard and when I have sex, If can stay hard enough to finish its over in like 2 minutes or I just lose it mid way and thats with cialis. When I beat off, its the same, lose it half way through, lose interest and don't finish or if I do finish its either mostly limp or just a half chub. I went from being able to take my gf to pound town multiple times over a weekend to barely being able to get hard. At first I thought my estrogen was just wacky because I upped my test dose and I played around with my adex for like 4 weeks trying to get it right, finally I said "screw it" and took 1mg of adex knowing it would either fix the problem or it wouldn't. Obviously it didn't so I didn't take adex for 3 weeks hoping it would fix this problem, it hasn't. The only other conclusion I have is that me upping my dose has made my testosterone too high and thats somehow caused some weird side effects?? Is that even possible? I'm thinking about just coming off everything for like 2 weeks and just starting over at my dose that worked for me for a long time and just seeing what happens.
Has anyone heard of this before? I've never heard of too much testosterone giving someone ED and usually ED is caused by the estrogen being out of whack but obviously ive had my estrogen at both ends of the spectrums and its had virtually no.effect on this either way.

    Any advice would be appreciated

Your body likes what it likes. Remember Testosterone in a normally functioning male is not at a constant level day in and day out. Sexual function for me is best at low levels of testosterone .

One reason for this is exhaustion. You may be functioning at a higher level in some aspects but your body is functioning way beyond the intended level. Your blood pressure and heart rate is raised. Your sleep is not as deep and REM sleep can be much more difficult to acheive. I have to come off TRT every 10 weeks so I can reach REM sleep and remove exhaustion.

More is not always better. The LEAST dose you can acheive for TRT is usually the best. It can be addictive to function like you did when 18 but the price must be paid.

At a glance I'd bet your estrogen is about crashed, thus the crap libido and ED issues. Now, I'm assuming you tested standard estradiol, which is the incorrect test for men as it's not sensitive enough for a mans lower estrogen readings. It tends to read high causing doctors and patients to then up the adex dose unnecessarily amplifying the problem. So step one would be to obtain a Sensitive Estrogen Assay. Assuming you're in the U.S. many states allow self testing through on-line sites like Discounted Labs, etc. Check them out.

I'd suggest getting the proper test done asap and see where you're at. If it comes in like I expect I'd consider totally eliminating the adex (cancer drug that you really don't need) and dropping your T dose down a bit. Also, judge your testosterone level by your Free T, not your total t. Total means nothing as only free works for you.

Thanks for the reply! If anyone cares, here's an update. I dont think this had anything to do with my estrogen levels, and everything to do with my testosterone levels . As I said in my OP, I didnt take adex for 3 weeks and the problem didn't improve. On Wednesday (2 days before my normal test shot day) I took 300IU of hcg and .35Mg of adex and saw no change. Friday rolled around and I had already made the decision to skip my test shot. By Friday night I could get a half chub. Saturday morning I felt substantially better and was able to spank it and actually get turned on and stay hard the whole time, Saturday night I had sex, lost it half way through but I think that was largely due to anxiety and being exhausted. Sunday felt fine. Took the gf to pound town and only had a little trouble but again, I think this was due to anxiety more than anything. Monday (today) feel mostly fine, sex drive is a little low but I think thats because I'm passing to the low end of my sweet spot. Another user above posted about how my test being high has had my body in overdrive and I think he is right. I think for whatever reason, that extra testosterone really jacked my system up. I dont think it was a high or low estrogen issue, just a high test issue. Definitely going to be dialing the dose back to what it was before and going from there. Ive been feeling fatigued for the last few weeks and that has improved substantially as well. Whatever the issue was, its basically fixed itself thus far. I will probably take a test shot on Wednesday and then move back to my normal Friday schedule next week. As they say, theres more than one way to skin a cat and just coming off everything and letting my body normalize has really helped everything, ill be sure to post and changes. Thanks!
