TRT Lab test timing!
Hello guys. I am potentially interested in starting trt, but I am really more curious at the moment what my testosterone levels are. So I ordered a blood panel through an online trt clinic. They instructed me to get tested as late in the afternoon as possible and to eat 2 hours before hand. All of the research I found says levels are highest in the morning and you should get tested between 7-11am on an empty stomach. Thoughts? Does the clinic want my levels to be as low as possible so they can prescribe me test? Or is this actually the optimal way of doing things???

Yes, the clinic is looking for lower numbers to help them get you on-board. That said, the older you are the less of an effect late day testing has on your levels.
See what your numbers are and get back to us here. Always good to know your levels even if at your trough.
I'm curious what other panels were ordered as well as it's important to see LH/FSH and thyroid at a minimum.

When my PCP has my Test levels checked, the blood draw has to be by 9 am to catch that morning peak.
