10ml vial multi dose vials- sterile for how long?

    Happy New Year,
Recently I received a 10 ml multi dose vial instead of the small 1 ml single use vials.

My pharmacist said to discard after 28 days per the guidelines.

While I understand the guidelines, I am thinking is a waste of my $.

Question: Thoughts about using past the 28 days or transferring to sterile vials to preserve life. How long is okay or should I transfer to smaller vials to limit introducing bacteria from reusing it.

If I tried to use the vial contents 100%, I would be drawing from this vial 28 times for 3.5 months.

First, I would make sure he's going to replace it when you ditch the majority of it after a month.

Next, I would consider drawing up 5ml and filtering into a pre-sealed sterile vial.
