    is this all i need to drink after my insulin shot yea ?? help please

    okay so startin insulin today, did 4iu's post workout followed with 25g dextrose powder, 25g raw oats, 5g creatine, 5g bcaa's & 40g whey protein isolate is that fine yes
    il up my dextrose as i increase my iu's and an hour after shake im having a solid meal of 100g carbs, 50g proteins and a little fat. my insulin is fast acting humalog. i plan on working my way up to 10iu's just post workouts 4 times a week.

    the best way to tell is to get a glucose meter and check your blood. you can get one for like $20 and 50 strips for $9 at walmart
    If people can't tell your on steroids then your doing them wrong

    ok sound bro, but roughly is that right, dextrose is a good thing to use yea say around 8g carbs per 1iu ??? also is it good to throw in some slower acting carbs in the shake like oats ?

    1iu per 8g is a good start point. I'm diabetic and do 1iu per 5g. but I know other diabetics that do 1iu per 10g. Everyone has different sensitivity. that's why it's good to test. I would lean to the high side when starting out. worste that happens with that is you put on a little fat and you back down. aiming low will send you hypo

    is it possible to do insulin withought putting any fat on and keeping quite lean ? say im around the 12% mark could i stay close to that with slin if my diets in check ? i hear eating fats a few hours after is a no no, il be using fast acting insulin too.

    i always try and keep my BS below 150 no matter what. If im trying to put on more size using insulin . I will up my insulin amounts and eat accordingly

    still alive chaps, ive researched and now im having 8g dextrose powder per 1iu insulin and also been putting 25g instant oats in there for a slower releasing cabs with my glutamine, bcaa's & cretine and of course 40-50g whey protein. up to 8iu's now post workout. wont go past 10 tho. been uping it each time. about 60-90 minutes after this im having 100g carbs and 40g protein
