DAY 31- 7/12/09
Went out on the boat today, and took some pics, figured i'd put one up so you guys could compare to day 1. I'm up about 10-12 pounds, but I can tell I'v put on a chunk of BF. My goal at the begining was to gain muscle and lean up, but as I proceeded I realized it was one or the other, so I just went on an all out bulk. Anyways, how do you guys think it's coming along.

DAY 35 - 7/16/09
So I decided that today will be my last day on this cycle, and I will start PCT tommorow. I have enough Var for another 5 days, but my reason for ending are as follows: as each day goes on I am getting more tired.( I think it's from decreasing natty test). My old shoulder injury is bothering me from lifting heavier: I am experiencing some minor pain under my bottom left rib on my back, which I beleive to be from my kidney, as im pretty sure it's not a muscle pull. And lastly I feel I'v made suffecient gains from this cycle, and I'd rather be safe than sorry.
STRENGTH: I think this was the best part of var. I noticed a little increase days 5-10, but the real strength gains came days 15-25, I am up in every lift. My row, and bench were the exercizes that increased the most.
VASCULARITY: Around day 10-15 I noticed I was more vascular. As i started to increase calories and put on more weight the vascularity seemed to gradually decrease thereafter.
BODY WEIGHT/FAT: I was 171lbs today, so I am up 10-12lbs overall, with a slight to moderate increase in body fat, also gained about .75 inch on my arms. overall I feel bigger and heavier, and have gotten several coments
SIDE EFFECTS: I have had high blood pressure throughout the whole cycle. around days 10-20 I had some lower back cramps, where I would have to sit between sets, but nothing too bad. I noticed around day 25, I wasnt able to maintain wood as long as normal. day 30-35 I experienced kidney pain, specifically tender to the touch, not excruciating, but definatly been uncomfortable. around day 25 i started feeling a little more tired than normal, and every day thereafter it has been getting gradually worse.
Overall I made good gains in a short time, I am just hoping I keep them, and will update, My pct will be as follows, do you guys have any tips throughout pct??
Week 1 Nolva 40mg ED
Week 2 Nolva 20mg ED

You made some pretty serious gains for just over a month. If you could do it over again, would you knowing what you know now?

thank you. yes I would do it again, that is assuming my bloodwork turns out normal. The only things I would change were I would have done more cardio, I would have liked to finish this with a little less bf.
my next cycle I will most likely run test, and seeing how well I responded to this, I can only imagine the gains test will yeild.

I'm thinking for my first cycle I will run test. I was thinking of running Anavar because I wasn't sure about pinning but after being on here for a short while it's really not that big a deal. What would be great is in a few weeks if you could repost on this thread and let us know where your weight is. That way we know if you gain, maintain, or lose any weight over the next few weeks. Also, if you could keep us posted on your strength gains as well that would be fantastic. These are the posts that help us newbies out the most. I've been following this from the beginning and it's been extremely helpful.

glad to hear it pistolpete, thats what this log was for. I will update throughout pct and also a month or so after, when i get my bloodwork.

DAY 5 PCT
I went on vacation days 2-4 and really messed up.. didn't work out, I drank a ton, and ate like shit. Today I was sort of happy half the day, and miserable for the other half, kind of weird.. maybe it's the clomid.
I decided to run clomid at 50mg ed for 2 weeks instead of nolva.
I worked back/ bi's tonight, and my strength is still way up from before I started the Var, but I felt definatly weaker than I did when I was on. I tried to lift the same weights, but I couldnt get as many reps, and my form started to go bad, so I had to lighten up. PCT Day 10- 7/26/09
My strength seems to have leveled out. the first 5 days of pct I lost some strength, but the last 5 I havent really lost any. I havent weighed myself, but I have only been eating around 3000-3500 cals a day. I decided to cut back a little because with my test levels being low I figured eating 5k cals would go to my belly quicker. As far as everything else like libido, and energy levels, I feel great and back to normal.

7/31/09: PCT FINISHED
I am done with pct. I ran clomid 50mg for 12 days, and discontinued it because I feel fine libido wise, so Im assuming I'm back to normal. The only thing I'm noticing is I'm not gettin the morning wood like I used to. Since coming off the Var, Iv upped my cardio, and am not eating as much carbs, but I still seem to be putting on more fat. I was 169lbs on the scale today, so down about 2-3 pounds, but it seems like more wieght in my belly. I definatly notice the hardenss in my muscles has went away, but some new veins I got are still here. As far as strength, Im still stronger than I ever was naturally.

Thanks for posting your progress on the var only cycle. I am thinking about running a var only cycle myself....Has your appetite been consistent while on the var as I have heard that it helps curb the appetite. I will be following along bro..

tarheel, I would say my appetite was slightly supressed around days 4-10, but all of a sudden, I got a kick and just like that, I was hungry as I'v ever been. I'v always had a big appetite though.
just wanted to let you guys know I got blood work done last week, and will post results in a few days.

8/20/09 BLOODWORK UPDATE
just got results from bloodwork, I told the doctor to check me for low test, and this is the results I got.
work done on 8/8/09
Glucose= 111 (65-139 is normal)
Cholesterol= 153 (125-200 is normal)
Thyroid= 2.32 (.4-4.5 is normal)
Testosterone =849 (260-1000 is normal)
I'm surprised my test is so high, Is it possible for my test to recover that much in 2 weeks? I wish i got work done pre cycle to compare. Any one ever here of var raising test levels? It doesnt make sense to me.
unfortunatly I hit my head last week and got some minor brain trauma so it looks like I will be out of the gym for several weeks/months, dont know yet..wish me the best.

it's a little more seriouse, I was in the hospital for 4 days. I have what called TBI (traumatic brain injury) the mri showed 3 spots where my brain was bleeding, but they are small, and they clotted, or I would have been brain damaged. I am super lucky to have just escaped with this. I can think straight, but I have some memory loss, and a constant headache and dizzyness. The doc said it could last anywhere from 3 weeks to 6 months. I am the most depressed about not being able to hit the gym, and I look forward to getting back in.
