Need some help on this gut

Alright Im 39, 5'3" I bounce between 176 and 182 pounds. All Ive ever done was power lifting. not looking to become a body builder. I just want to get rid of the power lifting belly. My diet is pretty good. I eat chicken, tuna, rice, beans (red and green) salads, protein shakes. I think my biggest problem is not enough cardio.. I just HATE cardio.. Running makes my shins hurt and the bikes make my lower back hurt. So I have been doing it but not liking it.

Any feedback on what you guys think? I dont think I can physically get any bigger. I dont want to lose alot of size just the belly.

*puts on super intense flame suit*...

Currently my arms are around 16 inches. Chest is about 40".

You could get bigger, trust me.

But to answer your question, there a million ways to get your cardio done. Yes, you must do it. Stay in the "fat burning zone" and do it 3-5 days per week from 20-40 minutes. Cut out all the simple carbs (sugars) and drink a gallon or two a day. If you steadily drop your calorie intake (obviously) you will keep your mass/strength and lose fat. It takes time but you could loss 1% b.f. every week or two easily. If your strength starts to drop, increase your protein cals a bit.

You'll be ripped by mid-summer. Good luck.

post your diet in full, if you cannot i would suggest creating a diet and following it to achieve your goals. You wont get far without a properly concieved nutritional program.

Thanks guys.. I didnt even know the dog was in the pic until I posted it. He just turned a year old.

Went to the gym tonight for legs. Second to last set was 415 for 6 reps, last set was 415 for 4 reps. Missed the 5th one. I jumped on the scale afterwards and hit 185#.. Damn I am a fat bastard LOL.

I will just have to kick up the cardio. On the bikes I ride at the gym, it says either fat burn or cardio. Which one do you guys do? I always use the fat burn.

Somebody probably already said this, but I dont have the desire to read all of the posts: Do 1)low intensity/ high volume cardio. As in 60 min. first thing in the morning on empty stomach, and 45-60 post weight-training session after a protein shake (or something to prevent catabolism)
2)this will be contriversal, i know, but reduce or quit the deadlifts..... As I'm sure you all know, muscles generaly want to even them selves out to SOME extent. Big lower back, big ass abs.
3)reduce your carbohydrate intake per meal. NO CHINESE Buffets, no gorging yourself. THis is ONE reason pro's have distensions. They must take in sooooo F*ucking many calories that they still eat 8-9 times a day, but these are still massive meals.
    4) low salt intake/ diuretics

I hope this helps bro. I have done a few comps, and know a thing or TWO about this sh*t, but obviously not everything. So bro's fire away!
