2008 Missouri State Prep
Hey guys, i posted awhile back on here and pretty much got laughed off the boards, wanted to drop a few pics in the forum and see what you thought. I know I still have tons of work to do for the Missouri state show in 11 weeks, if I look good then i'll do it, and if i dont i'll back out. just wanna see where you think I stand. Stats im 23 years old, 5'10. 247 as of today, these pics were taken last week. heres a look. lemme know. Doin the palumbo diet which i stole offline and all other prep work on my own, no formal help from dave as of yet, sorry dave I have crazy respect for you if your readin this. and yes i know arms are a weak point and delts too, have to wait for the offseason for improvements on everything. This will be the first time I have ever dieted down, looking forward to the rebound after competition.

Huge change bro, look solid as hell! What was your before weight and BF% vs the most recent pics? When were the previous pics taken? Looks like you have a few more lbs of BF to drop and you should be good to go!

bodyfat not sure of high haha, still is, before i was around 285 290, now im 247. Still have 11 weeks to go, the new pics were taken one or two weeks ago, and the old ones were taken i think around this time last year. I started my diet with some carbs in there around 6 weeks ago, and been on the palumbo diet hard for about 4 weeks. and now the bodyfat really seems to be comin off fast. Gonna bump up my cardio as I get alittle closer as well. Just gotta stay at it and let the diet do the work.

You are a beast, bro. Looking good.
Posing is coming along good. Keep strecthing out those big shoulders and let those pecs bust out. Flex your lats hard while you hold your DBL BI Pose to dramatize the V.
Good luck!

11 weeks is plenty of time, you look great. You shooting for the Heavyweight Class (under 225 NPC) I assume?

You look thick bro, great improvement. You should maybe work up a bit on those lat spreads.
And where's your neck?
Just cut a little more bf and all that water and you'll be fine

shit man i think arms are a weak point, got some serious work to do on them and lateral delts in the offseason as well as calves. shit hopefully everything will just blow up haha. just gotta stay at it, i feel like a tiny little bitch and its gonna get worse i know...... just excited to do a really clean bulk after i get down to low low bodyfat, should look great as i put the muscle back on.
Also this is my first show, what classes should I enter, if i enter the novice can i enter the others as well??Last edited by BIGSNOR; 05-11-2008 at 12:47 PM.

Most shows allow you to only enter one class with the exception of mixed pairs. I have seeen some smaller shows allow competitors to enter more than one class but that is usually novice/open along with a masters or age class.

so you think i should shoot for the regular classes rather than novice. im sure there are some good novice bodybuiders out there but i dont wanna end up in a class that has like two people in it, or is full of chumps. i wanna be tested, and if i get my ass kicked i can learn from that.

I agree with Johny 2 Small, go novice being this is your first time. You might check the weight classes as the cutoffs are often different in the novice class than in the open.
