this fight was Muay Thai but I normally do no holds barred fighting. This fight was through the ISKA. Yeah man this is 6 weeks in the gym...no shit. I was 181 pounds before I started....now I am 201. I fight in Atlanta, GA....Augusta, GA....and Birmingham, AL

Thats a big increase in weight, i'd like to know what type of program u're on. My guess is that it would be more of a powerlifting/plyometrics rather then a bodybuilding program. The real reason that i'm suprised is that its hard to bulk up when u're constantly fighting and u have to stay in shape as far as cardio goes, anyways good stuff.

I lift one to two muscle groups a day. For example- monday is my chest day. I get in there and do 4-5 exercises for about an hour to an hour and a half and completely burn myself out. Wednesday I do the same for arms. Friday I do the same for back and shoulders. T, Th I do legs- but not nearly as intense. I would rather have the flexibility that I need for a head kick than bulky legs. In fighting- strength is not as important as one would think. Its more about technique and training. Don't get me wrong- strength never hurt anyone- but fighters tend to get big ususlly to intimidate his opponent. Perfect example of size not mattering....this past weekend I fought a dude who was flat chested and weighed 179. I was almost 200. The crowd expected me to kill this guy. Well, He knocked me out cold in the first round with a right hand to my temple.

looking mean. half of its mental attitude, the other half is technique. much respect for anyone who can face that kind of shit. me, i'd love to give it a go - probably get the shit kicked out of me but at least you can say you tried. me and fedski mixed it up once and i almost beat the f*ker (semi serious pissed up boys fightin). He's about 6 2 and got a lot more muscle that me. Whats you favourite technique for taking someone down?

In a fight- I don't go for the takedown. I will stand there and bang with someone. Usually they will try and take me down. As long as I can pull guard I am fine. from there I'll go for a triangle choke and end it quick.

Damn Fraggy, there you go again telling folk I know you.
Neck still hurting from that time I whipped yer ass?
I got Fraggy in an arm/neck lock - you know when your chin is forced down onto your chest. Took him a while to submit, but I got him in the end.
Can you imagine the scene - the two of us with our shirts off 2.30 in the morning on grass outside of a row of terraced houses. I'm surprised the police weren't called.Last edited by FedSki; 01-28-2003 at 09:20 AM.

Good job bro! I want to learn the submission/jiu jitsu stuff....my girls kickboxing teacher has done the mega fights(shamrocks promo) and won gold in brazil, and I want to go and learn. I know some from training with some seals, boxing, wrestling and research I've done. I'm too old to get in the ring, but I want to spar atleast, I'm too f'n aggressive at work and want to tapout half these *weeds!
Good luck in the cage bro!
