I appreciate that Fireguy! Feeling pretty good. Still think I can give the open class a run even though I am year away from competing in the Grand Masters!
Thanks for the comments guys. We'll take some more pics next week and through out the prep to show progress (no top next time). For the record, I'm 5'8", currently 225lbs and hovering around 10-12% I would guess. Better pics next week for your consideration and BF estimates.

Thanks for the comments guys. I'll get some better pics this week with some back shots as well. I've never been this lean this far out from show date, so Im pretty stoked! It almost always boils down to who has the best conditioning. I won one show because of my size, so I was told, but that was and is rare.
I gave up squats a couple of years back, and that was my builder for years. Now I do deep leg press, not exceeding 1000 lbs for 20+ reps as a builder, usually 6 sets with 3 being at max weight. I often follow that up with a burn set of 50+ reps at 500 lbs or so on the leg press. My hams have come up and I believe that is due to going deep. I also hit the hack squat EOW and a machine press weekly with one leg. Here again with the machine press, I go deep and feel that in both the hams and glutes. This is my main stay. I do have a ham day which is basically variations of the leg curl. Not much fluff because I don't believe it helps. I hit calves twice a week, seated, calf press and standing calf. No more stiff legs, they just hurt my back too much, but I did do these for years to build my base.

Thanks for the comments guys. Think I'm where I should be for 7 weeks out.
Like Alex said, I had a complete tear of the long head of my biceps tendon in the fall of 2010. Just 3 weeks before a competition. After talking with the surgeon I did not attempt to reattach. Pretty depressing. Didn't think I would compete after that. But after getting back in to training and watching several other competitors with the same injury I decided I could compete with the abnormally peaky bicep.
I still have the strength, but it took me a while to get over the fear of lifting heavy. Don't want to tear anything else.
Now if I could just tear the other, they would match! There are some pros who have the same injury. I believe Lee Priest has torn the long head on both arms.

Ouch!! I bet that hurt in the morning
Your looking in good condition. I'm no expert, but to my eyes you have good all round size and symetry. Great chest, and like the look of your shoulders in the rear double biceps shot, nice and thick.
