You and Abbott have a very similar build. He only pops on here every once in a while but your rear double bi reminded me of his physique a lot.

I'm so jealous of your bicep peaks!!! I don't even need to see a front view to know you've got some Arnold-like peaks! Are you using MT-2 for tanning?

Hard to say exactly, those pics are taken in a fairly depleted state. By the time water comes out, more fat comes off and some carbs are put back in I would guess 190-192lbs.
Abbott was one of the first guys on here I became friends with. He just PM'd me a couple days ago as a matter of fact. Hope he doesnt take offense to the comparison ;-)
Thanks, gets a bit crazier looking when I have carbs in my system and get a good pump.
I hope so man, I am going to be giving away a lot of size in one of the shows and conditioning is going to be my only hope to be competitive.
Thank you, this is an excellent example of not knowing what your body really looks like until you strip away the fat. Off season I stay right around 10% and you wouldnt think my biceps are peaked at all. Take away the bodyfat and our bodyparts we think are weak are often a strong point. Unfortunately it works the other way too. I have seen many guys think they have great chests or backs only to find out the majority of the shape and size was bodyfat.
I have 2 coming up. One is a very tough show with guys from all over the country competing. It's a bit of a reach for me to be competitive in it but I will throw my hat in the ring regardless. Some of the best Masters guys in the sport do this one. With only an under/over 176 weight class is doesnt stack up well for me as I end up competing against guys 20-30lbs heavier than me. I am usually middle of the pack here and a top 5 finish would be a huge accomplishment for me. I will do a State show the following weekend where I compete in the Open Class as well as Masters. That's the one I have circled on my calendar!
Thanks for the kind words, my arms used to be (and still are to a lesser extent) the weakest link in my physique. Yes on the MTII, I think I have spent a grand total of 40-45 minutes in an actual tanning bed for my color. MTII works extremely well for me, I can literally turn black with it.

Wow ..... Looking great already FireGuy!!

Well if they were a weak link you def. did a great job at bringing them up! I haven't tried MTII yet but I would like to use it in the future. I thought you might be a MTII as your freckles are your back seem to be a bit dark (which is actually what I'm scared of). Did it darken your freckles much?

Lower back is looking great. Lats as well. Arms of course. Im digging your rear delts, thick as shit.
Hams are lacking in comparison to your quads. Your sweep outshines them.
But you know all this. lol.
So goodluck man!!

Thank you, should tighten up quite a bit more by the end of the month.
Everything gets darker, I do notice the moles and freckles get darker prior to the tan setting in. Best part is a MTII tan last for months, at least on me it does.
Thanks my friend.
Thanks Brother!
I never used to have vascularity like that in my quads up until a couple years ago. I honestly believe its from doing more stairmill cardio.
Thanks Oat.
I could look at me records and give you the exact number as I comp weekly starting at 16 weeks out. That weeks comp was either either 5.98 or 5.75 on a 9 site.
Thanks, got some striations in the glutes coming in now pretty good on the side shots.
:-)
I would say I stay in the 200-250 gram a day range off season with an occasional binge meal here and there. I do HIIT cardio 3x a week year round which had made the biggest difference in staying lean off season. Plus I am too old to get fat off season anymore, dont want to ruin my skins elasticity. I also tell myself every pound of fat I DONT gain in the off season is about 10 less hours of cardio I have to do precontest.
Each muscle once a week, high intensity super strict form with an emphasis on contunious tension on whatever muscle I am working. Diet is around 2800 cals off season, mod/high protein, moderate carbs and fats. I cap my off season weight at 220lbs these days which is nice. I started my precontest diet at 15 weeks out 221lbs at 9.98%. Set up a carb cycle diet and havent changed it the entire prep.
Thanks Duk, yes hams are a bit behind the quads. I can mask it from the side with a few tricks. And yes, I am one of the few whose rear delts are the strongest of the three heads. Always worked them as a separate muscle and emphasized their importance.

Nothing special, I do reverse pec dec flyes and a seated DB exercise where I lean forward and push the DB's back and slightly outward at around a 45 degree angle. Kinda the motion a skier uses with his poles except I am leaning forward on a seated bench and my arms never come forward past perpendicular to the ground. Baseline said it best in a thread a awhile back. People dont need new routines or exercises they usually need to learn to do them correctly. The biggest mistakes I see people make when training rear delts is, momentum, too much range of motion and too much trap involvement. Momentum is easy to fix, dont swing the weights and maintain tension on the muscle the entire time. Range of motion on rear delts is maybe 12 inches at the most doing rear flyes where your hands start almost touching and finish with your hands behind your back is bringing into play a ton of other muscles which are much stronger and will happily take over the movement for your rear delts. I cant tell you exactly where to start and stop each movement but you need to be able to establish a mind muscle connection with your rear delts and once you do that you will be able to feel when the tension is transferring to another muscle. That's when you know your range of motion is at it's limit. Last regardless it its reverse pec dec or a DB movement. Once you grab the weight, stop for a moment and makes sure your traps are down in a fully stretched position. Then keep them there throughout the entire set. You will find the weight is going to feel much heavier which is a good thing!
That and just stayer leaner year round is the key. I am generally not a very vascular person believe it or not.
Exactly why posing is so important.
Thanks St.
Ugly is good! LOL
