Thats very true, this is starting to look bad. Pakistan and India, Iran and Isreal, NK. I forgot the man who said that when we created nuclear power we invented or own destruction, or something in those words. lol Maybe the Mayans were right after all.

    Game over.

Take a thousand years for background radiation to go down to safe levels.

After this thing with China shooting down a western satalite, how long before the Bush administration calls War on Terror at China.

Maybe it's programed into unstable species to commit suicide so as to not pollute the rest of the gene pool.

The us has defenetly signed the NPT.

Maby your thinking of the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty?

What is worrying is that the US is going around the NPT and is talking about sharing nuclear technology with india. That shit got to stop. It endangers the whole treaty.

Nah radiation drops pretty fast. Both Hiroshima and Nagasaki was populated in no time after the bombs where dropped and are now thriving cities. The long lived isotopes gets dispersed enough not to be a big danger and the short lived ones half lifes are to short to be a long term danger.

I dont think the US would ever do anything stupid against china. China and the US needs eachother more than ever.

    You are right.

Was there no MoU between the US and India just a 1-2 years ago? I believe it was for nuclear tech or reactors.

we did, but bush did somethign to back out after 9/11. i forgot what exactly what actions he took but it's just plain retarded. we have stockpiles enough to assuredly end all life on earth many times over. does bush really need to ability to fry the biosphere 1001x as opposed to 1000?

I'll tell you what concerns me. The Bush administration announcing they will be building two new types of nuclear bombs to replace our 'aging' stockpile -- as if it needs replaced.

One of the bombs will be designed according to conventional methods and the other built experimentally combining unproven theories with known conventional methods into the end product. The problem will be that testing will have to start all over. So much for any nuclear deterrent treaty.
