"Hit and Myth: Poll Shows 1 in 3 Americans Still Believe Saddam Involved in 9/11 "

    http://www.editorandpublisher.com/ea...nclick_check=1

NEW YORK Six years after the 9/11 terror attacks on the U.S., it seems the media still have some educational work to do. A new CBS/New York Times poll reveals that even today, 1 in 3 Americans believe that "Saddam Hussein was personally involved in the September 11th, 2001, terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon."

This notion was thoroughly debunked by official sources, including those in the White House, years ago, but the myth endures. Polls have shown that belief in this untruth was a prime component in support for the attack on Iraq.

Four in 10 Republicans still hold this view, compared with 32% of Independents and 27% of Democrats.

The poll of 1,035 adults was taken Sept. 4 to 8

Yeah the sample size was quite small, could be some statistical error involved as well but I dont think they would put much funds for such a poll.

"Further, the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event – like a new Pearl Harbor." -Wolfowitz

After all he did have influence with his old friends now in the white house ! He was in the white house too in 2001 with MR Bush! Maybe this is why people are suspiscious ?

Yeah Logan, and things are just great with BUSH in charge....enough said..

MAD COW heres your source you neocon you
The Project for the New American Century (PNAC) is an American neoconservative think tank based in Washington, D.C., co-founded as "a non-profit educational organization" by William Kristol and Robert Kagan in early 1997. The PNAC's stated goal is "to promote American global leadership."[1] Fundamental to the PNAC are the views that "American leadership is both good for America and good for the world" and support for "a Reaganite policy of military strength and moral clarity."[2] It has exerted strong influence on high-level U.S. government officials in the administration of U.S President George W. Bush and strongly affected the Bush administration's development of military and foreign policies, especially involving national security and the Iraq War.[3][4][5]

Section V of Rebuilding America's Defenses, entitled "Creating Tomorrow's Dominant Force", includes the sentence: "Further, the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event––like a new Pearl Harbor" (51).[22]

george bush and his money crazy buddies took advantage of the obvious fear and demand for revenge after 9/11
they were looking for an angle on iraq and saddam hussein soon afterwards and told unbelivable lies to coax that belief into every american, they are a disgrace, its a pity that still today so many people believe him
what happened on 9/11 was a terrorist act,simple..i dont believe in the conspirces that are floating around to this day
saddam was a secular minded paranoid control freak and to say he was harbouring extremiest islamists is an insult to anyone with half a brain
coln powell was telling us in early 2001 that saddams army was unable to rebuild and the previous war had caused havoc on his armys military capabilities, yet after 9/11 he had chemical weapons and that he wanted to use them againist america?? spare me...
to send 10,000 troops to afghanistan after 9/11 shows us how much they had there eye on the oil in iraq,i feel sorry for every u.s soldier that losses ther life in this mess for showing a patriotic love of there country, and i hope they all get to come home soon
