Soldier Pleads Guilty in HIV Case...

FORT BRAGG, N.C. - An HIV-positive paratrooper pleaded guilty to assault Thursday for knowingly having unprotected sex with a teenager he met online.
Pfc. Johnny Lamar Dalton, who is a member of the 82nd Airborne Division, entered his plea during a court-martial at Fort Bragg.
A military judge sentenced Dalton to 40 months in prison. The sentence included a reduction in rank and a dishonorable discharge.
Dalton was ordered last November not to have unprotected sex after he was found to have HIV. State law also prohibits a person infected with HIV from having sex unless condoms are used and sexual partners are notified.
Doctors discovered the 17-year-old had HIV during a routine blood test, and his mother notified the military.
Dalton also pleaded guilty to violating a direct order, aggravated assault, committing an indecent act and using marijuana.

I didn't know they kept HIV+ people in the military. Seems to me they'd be a problem for medics if they were wounded and spurting blood.
So, they keep HIV+ soldiers, but kick out HIV- ones, even if they speak Arabic, or even if they're voted US Army Soldier of the Year

I suppost that's supposed to make sense, but I don't get it . . .

You can stay in the military if you choose so...and it's the wise thing to do since all health care is free while you're in. You are non-deployable to anywhere outside the United States so they will give you an admin job someplace and you just sit at the same duty station for the rest of the time you're in. You would be amazed at how many people are HIV+ in the military. Guys go to foreign countries, screw prostitutes and come back with all sorts of nasties.
As for the Navy/Marines, they go to Bethesda, MD (east coasties) to do check ups every 6months or so. They are required to tell any medical provider that they see they are HIV+.
The only time when they are forced out is when thier disease gets so bad it effects thier ability to work.

There was a female soldier here in Ontario that tested positive for HIV. When she found out, she walked through the base halls in just a thong and bra and ****ed a few guys without any protection. Lucky for those guys they all tested negative after and she's in jail for a long time now.
