Report: Gang Rape Becomes Part of Violence in Kenya

And what does the world do besides watch?
Report: Gang Rape Becomes Part of Violence in Kenya
    FOX News

Hundreds of gang rapes of women and children, with some boys as young as 5, have been reported as part of the violence sweeping through Kenya after last week's presidential election, The Daily Telegraph reported.

Doctors at one hospital told the newspaper they had treated 24 women and 13 girls, as well as admitted three boys who had been repeatedly sodomized.

"We believe we only know about a fraction of cases because most people have no transport to get to hospitals or are still trapped because of the security situation," Rahab Ngugi, a senior nurse at the hospital, told The Daily Telegraph.

Many of the victims, the newspaper reported, were raped in their own homes and were members of President Kibaki Kikuyu's tribe.

If we really believe in the spreading "democracy" nonsense, we should support new elections and have them internationally monitored.

I don't know if we need to spread democracy throughout the world but there is so much of the world in dire need of being educated. Does that require a democratic government to work though?

No, it just a government the isn't corrupt, values freedom, justice, and protects the rights of it's people. I just put "spread democracy" in their because Bush and co say it but it is clear that they don't believe in what they say.

Why are you only calling on the US to do something? Weren't you one of those crying that we should not do anything unilaterally? Please, make up your mind.............

If the people of those countries want democracy, and that is the overwhelming consensus of the majority, let them fight for it on their own. If they want another form of government to govern them, then let them have what they want. Who are we to impose our political and cultural ideology on them?

The African Union and the UK are already involved. I'm just mocking Bush's rhetoric about supporting "spreading democracy" yet the records show otherwise.
