HELP - I Think My Doc’s a Quack!!!!
I went for a common cold about 16 weeks ago and while I was there I figured I would get ALL my blood work checked. After the results came back they found my Test levels were pretty low (188) so he put me on 400mg every other week. I personally would have liked a every week shot of 200mg but my doctor assured me that there would be no peaks and valleys.
Now 16 weeks later he tested my test levels “Before” my shot, I’m guessing that would mean I was on a Valley and they came back at (192). So now my Doctor wish’s to up my dose to 800mg every other week, this just seem wrong, What do you guys think>?

I don't know man...that sounds like an awful lot of test....most hrt/trt regimens run 100 to 150 mg per week or 200-250 every two weeks. 800 mgs every two weeks seems over the top. Ask bout some anti e as well.
what kind of test is he using? and are you taking any other drugs??

Now at 800mg EOW I may feel incredible for the first week and a half but after that I may crash hard. I’m just wondering if anyone has ever taken this much (800mg) EOW or should I insist on 400mg EW.?

Take the test, but tell him you want to try 400 every week or better yet, just write you a prescription for the test and inject it yourself!
Get a prescription for Arimidex or Nolva, or both. Your reasoning is 'to avoid the possibility of gynocomastia'

I'll try that. I did try to get a scrip' to inject myself but he would not do that yet. I'll tell him 400mg Every week or I'll go to another Doctor. Everything I'm reading Online say's EOW with large amounts is not the best for your body.

Oh just let your doc do your shots for you.You have to remember Test E is in the body for a total of 17 day before its out of the system.I did test e back in the day at 500mg every 10 days and great results.Best of luck.

something to think about, maybe if you just calm down and let him do the increments things will work out okay. I had refered someone to a dr. I use and the first thing the guy starts doing is telling the Dr. how to do his job. The main goal was to get a script and be able to inject himself. He screwed it up because he was just too egar to tell the Dr. what and how the protocol should be ran. Its about trust bro, you won't gain his trust if you are questioning him in the begining. I actually printed out the HRT protocol from the sticky and gave it to the Dr. He is a Tulane grad so he belived the science behind the reasoning for weekly insted of bi weekly. But because I was young and worked out plus he didn't know me, there was caution thrown in because he had had guys abuse the self injections and weekly dose. So maybe if you just hang in there and the Dr. gets to feel comfortable with you more freedom will come.
Just a suggestion.

Thanks for all the good advice and sorry for the long time between posts I have been home sick. But I did see my Doctor this morning and asked him if it was OK to split the injections up to 400mg EW instead of 800mg EOW.
He is fine with that, he just thing’s I’m wasting an extra Monday morning going into his office when I don’t need to.

I was paying 15 bucks a shot evey week for about 2 months and then it became a sort of inconvience sched and then he suggested me doing them myself, which I would just come in and shoot myself and leave the bottle of test there.Which I didn't do so I had my wife learn how to do the injections from his head nurse, and we are good and its cost effective.
Hopefully you will be doing your own at home soon, good luck and keep us informed.
