What was your ldl, hdl, and trig #'s. Crestor is some nasty stuff and should be the last resort.

Niacin does a nice job of lowering LDL's a bit and raising HDL a bunch.

Crestor and steroids sound real bad. Crestor had the problem with kidneys. I would not do it.

i have just gone thru (still am in fact) the nasty effects of having been put on crestor for high cholesterol. Dont do it!

Crestor is a "statin" and one of the side effects can be muscle destruction (call myopathy).

I was on crestor for two weeks. Doc advised me to stop after diagnosing statin induced myopathy.

i have now been off crestor for 3 weeks and i still cannot workout properly. Lost a huge amount of strength and muscle mass. very tired and weak.

This is my experience with crestor.

    Ditto

Statins messed me up to. Took all of my strength. There is also some suggestion that they mess with your test production. Do the Niacin, and alkalize.

Although nothing works on cholesterol like prescription drugs, oatmeal and fishoils will lower the bad and raise the good. How much is another story.
