    don't trus my urologist

I am 47 and my urologist has me on cyp. 200 every 12 days. Just finished 12 weeks and I asked him for some PCT. He said no and does not expect me to ever take break and wants me to keep going with injections every 10 days. I told him my balls shrank and he said "better than your D". He expects me to be on test for life. I am thinking I would rather double my dose and then take time off with some novaldex.

Thoughts? I have been hitting the gym hardcore as I can.

    Welcome flaoldman.

First, I assume you were diagnosed with low T?

If so and it was a proper diagnosis then it is for life.

Exactly what was the diagnosis? What caused the low T? Tumor, pathology, age related, etc.

You protocol needs help. Cyp peaks in app 48-72hrs metabolism dependant and it's half life is app 5-7 days. Meaning weekly shots at a minimum to keep stable levels. Many of us split our weekly dose in half and go every 3.5 days for more stable levels.

HCG is an integral part of a good protocol as the T your injecting subsequently shuts down your natural production (HPTA) at which time your testies can shrink and actually cause pain. HCG mimics Lieutenizing Hormone production keeping your boys somewhat functioning and at a normal size. Many on TRT also need an aromatase inhibitor for estrogen control as well. A lot to consider!

In essence here, you do not need more T. Less is more in TRT actually. You need to think in the long term here if in fact it's TRT. And if it is, immediately find another doctor. Unfortunately, most don't know hormones.

Your doc is clueless and in the long run will hurt you. Not sure what your goals are but you need to visit the HRT forum and read all the stickies at the top of the forum. They will really get you up to speed with the knowledge you need to ensure proper treatment.

I'd suggest pasting your original post over into a thread in the HRT forum. You'll get many more responses there. Good guys, great knowledge.

    Hope to see ya there!
