Old Man Looking for guidance
Gentleman, I'm a 45 year old man with diabetes and high blood pressure that are both under control with medication. I worked out in high school and continued through 14 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, however after leaving the Corps about 12 years ago I quit working out. I have tried to start back to the gym, but after a few weeks and no visible improvements I get lazy and quit for a few weeks. I've been on TRT for the last 4 years, and feel that it has helped a little. I've been dealing with depression and PTSD due to service in Iraq, and need to get back in the gym to get myself straight. I've studied and read as much as I can on this site, but I still feel like I need advice and guidance. I'm still tweaking my diet, but feel like I'm on the right path as far as that goes. I was hoping to get some advice on what AAS I need to look for to get the results I want, as well as the post cycle tools.
6'2"
225 pounds
22% body fat
.5ml testosterone cypionate weekly
free testosterone 192
total testosterone 554
I'm wanting to cut fat, and put on mass. I would really like to stay at 225 without the body fat percentage I'm carrying. Any help is truly appreciated.

Welcome and thank you for your service. Because you are on trt, you already know what a little extra test in your system feels like. But, at 22% bf, if you take more you will set yourself up to getting more negative side effects; which no one wants. Also, when you bump up the amount of testosterone you take, you will gain a lot of water weight. The good news is that it does not all go to your gut, but is spread over the body and will make your arms, chest and shoulders bigger as well. But, it looks much better if you lose the body fat first. Many people on here try to get their body fat at or below 15% to avoid negative sides; and it will look better too.
Since you seem to hit the gym and burn out quickly, I would suggest walking on a treadmill for an hour each morning. You do not have to run, which I personally hate to do. I simply walk on a treadmill and the extra pounds slowly shed off. And because you are not running, it is easier to keep up as you will not hate it as much as you will if you are really hitting it hard.
We are all here to help and good luck on your journey.

No idea on my free T range. I really do appreciate all of the advice. I think I was hoping to get that secret to more energy and faster results in the gym, but it sounds like there is no secret and the best thing to do is suck it up and hit it harder. I'll look in the diet section and see what I can find there to speed up the fat loss. Once I hit 15% or lower can anyone tell me the best place to look for a good beginner cycle for someone my age?
