No, I had to travel for work during that time so the timing was way off. Work pays the bills so it has to take priority over powerlifting. I was very upset, because now so far this trip to Chicago is already costing me $500 and it's not including my food........

that sucks, ,but theoretically the extra wk of rest may even make you stronger, it works for me. i stop heavy training 2 wks out from a meet, wk before the meet, i handle weights under 50% which is basically a wk off IMO and the meet of the wk i do nothing, i think it will work to your advantage even though it will cost a little extra cash

I competed today in the Chicago APF Junior Nationals

    I weighed in at 74.1kg (163lbs)

    Squats: 749
    Bench: 462
    Deadlift: 644

It was a well run meet, I got to meet some awesome people like Matt Kroceleski, great guy. We spoke for a while about politics and our next meet the Cincy Pro-am on Sunday August 18th.

    Great job bro!

I can't believe you are squatting over 4.5 times your bodyweight!

What are you shooting for at the meet in August?

    Hey bud,

Looking at the powerliftingusa magazine it puts me at #2.

But at the Arnold this year three guys totaled more:
    Oleksandr Kutcher: 2039.255
    Brian Petrillo: 1973.117
    Brian Tincher: 1912.491

I think they'll be at Louie's Cincy Pro Meet (except for Kutcher) so I'll have a chance to compete with them there. Should be a fun meet.

excellent! kutcher and hooper beware! i posted a sample template of your sheiko routine and made it a sticky, please take a look and add some input of what your routine is like from wk to wk or percentages etc etc. i think alot of people would be intrested to see how you train. if you dont want to , no big deal, but think about it

    Hey Doc,

I'll check it out right now, I certainly don't mind sharing my training info, it's not a secret at all ;-). Thanks for the kind gestures my friend.
