    Deadlifting Day

Ok hit a max deadlift from the floor Yesterday. I wore a Titan power singlet, no belt, bands or anything

    Sumo stance medium wide

    225 x 1
    225 x 1
    315 x 1
    405 x 1
    495 x 1 (went up easy)
545 x 1 (hard but locked it out- new pr although I bent over too far and used too much lower back)

Deadlifts have always been my best lift because I have a deadlifters build.

I have a push/pull meet in Novemeber so I am looking forward to hitting a good deadlift there.

I dont train with conventional methods for legs. All I do is pull the sled 3-4 times a week for 3/4 of a mile each time. Then I test the deadlift every so often.

I used the titan power singlet but I dont think it helped really. Has anyone had sucess with a particular brand of deadlift suit or groove briefs?

If you deadlift sumo you may want to try the Crain Genesis Deadlift suit. I fits great with the the sumo stance. www.crainsmuscleworld.com/power_gear.html

    Hey RCK

Meet is a push-pull in my town,
    Ironworks Ft Lauderdale in November.

My training partner is going for the bodyweight for reps category.

Nice PR man. I have a Titan power singlet on the way and was thinking of pulling in it at my next meet. Have you tried conventional in it? I'm not sure which style I will use at my meet. Or maybe I'll open sumo and switch like last time.

    Thanks for the replies everyone

I called the Fort Lauderdale gym that hosts the meet and they said it will be in November as usual. They dont have an exact date yet I think. Last year was Nov 10th on a Saturday. I will keep up with that and keep this board updated.

I hope to have my denim in 2 weeks. That should give me enough time before the meet to bench in it enough and get used to it. Its my first open back shirt so I wil see how that goes. Its been DE bands and ME boards for me lately.

I am 6'2 256 pounds (bench 400+raw) and my deadlift is 545...not recordbreaking stuff but I think 600 DL isnt too far away. This sled stuff is working very well. I can destroy my legs dragging it around a high school track at night then I wake up in the morning with almost no leg soreness. I am gonna start doing this more times a week. Also the sled is making me leaner. No way am I cut or anything but my pants are a notch looser than they were a few weeks ago and my legs are stronger. I drag for stregth not recovery and its a lot of cardio too.

I am no sure about my conventional max deadlift yet. Its been a few months since I did those. I will try that in about 2 weeks and see which one is stronger for me.
