My heaviest week is 4 weeks out. Deload from there... Taking the final week off. I take the final 2 weeks off from deadlifting which would give me either 8-9 days off prior to meet... dependent upon lifting Sat or Sun. No cardio or stretching for me at this point.

why would you deload 4 weeks out? whats benefit in that, just to avoid injury? im less than 3 weeks from a strongman comp, im still adding weight to my lifts, still want to add bit more weight before comp... would this be negative in doing so.

i was think of stopping squats/legs 5 days before, deadlifts 8 days before and not sure about cleans and press, was thinking 10 days before, but may do one more session before comp so that would make it 3 days before?

Didn't realize you meant a strongman contest... thought you were talking powerlifting. Good luck in your contest.

I always take a week off before my bp meet. This ensures that I'm well recuperated and ready to push my body to the max on the bp platform.
