Traps are slipping on bench
I'm not sure what it is, but all of a sudden my traps have been starting to slip before I bench. I am a big archer, but never had this problem before. The loaded up chalk on the back/bench isn't doing it. Is there a traction limit to how much you can arch? I just figured it was a physical limit. Starting to think otherwise though. Any advice?'
BTW, I'm talking raw benching.

I'll look into it for training. Is it legal for competitions?

does your gym have any of those weight/strength bands lying around? I saw a lifter actually just take the band, put it on the bench from top to bottom. the band, made of a rubber substance will grip your back/shirt causing your traps not to move.
are you wearing a shirt that exposes your traps? skin sweat and a bench dont mix. you could simply go old school and put a towel on the bench.

Ate you going way beyond your control and pushing yourself out of set with your legs?
