Beer Butt Chicken
Take a whole fryer chicken thawed, take out the guts, take an unopened can of beer and punch about 10 holes around the rim at the top. (NO HOLES ON THE TOP) Poor out 1/2 the beer. Put the can up the chickens ass and set it upright on the grill. Cook for 1&1/2 to 2 hours. Use your fav marinade and douse the chicken every 15 to 20 minutes. The beer boils out of the can into the meat and causes a serious tenderizing. If this isnt the most tender, flavorfull chicken you've ever had, you did it wrong.

This is so good. My parents make it all the time when I come into town. Except there are only like 3 sips out of it and the holes are in the top.
Oh, and we have come to find that Budweiser definitely works the best. FYI =)

u have to use a heavy beer.... any light beer makes the chicken gross... budweiser is best... unless u got a can of guiness! its damn good!!!!

BBQ sauce is always good... but u have to have good bbq sauce...

Sweet Baby Rays is the best out IMO. This is the marinade I use. I'm sure its not the most healthy combo of ingredients but its GOOD as hell.
Carribean Jerk (lawrys) 1 bottle
Stubbs Steak Marinade 1/2 bottle
Warstershire(sp?) A good few(10-20) dashes.
Catalina dressing. A good few dashes
Chalula hot sauce. About 2 tbspns
Garlic Powder. about 3 tbspns
Black pepper about 1 tbspn
A squeeze of lime.'
This is "Fight Club" marinade. One batch will last me a month at least. Good on steak, vegs, and chicken.

I use a coors light and i just drink half the beer then fill it with Garlic and oniond and stuff.
No need in the 10 holes in the sides just open the top.
Just made this the other night it was awesome
