    Beef pate recipe

liver is one of the best foods a bodybuilder can eat it is rich in nutrients such as iron, zinc vits and above all protein! 25g of protein per 100g of liver! Also it is dirt cheap where I live in England you can buy 600g for 50p =$1 that 125g of protein for $1 problem is I hate the taste of it, to be honest it tastes abit like dog poop, thankfully I have found a way of making it taste respectable, I make it into pate, which I spread on toast or crackers.it is lovely!

    Here is my recipe
1kg of beef liver = 250g of protein for £1
1 tub of low fat cream cheese
    1 beef stock cube
    :Gravy powder
    Dried oregano
    Olive oil

Fry the liver in some oil ontil crumbly, add 2 beef stock cubes and a spoon of gravy powder, add 600ml of water then simmer for 20 mins.
Now add the liver with stock into a food blender also add the cream cheese and a pinch of oregano, blend the mixture together ontil smooth, add the mix to a container then refrigerate.
after a few hour your pate will be ready to enjoy :-)

I like to serve on wholemeal toasted bread or oat crackers.

This recipe is a really good cheap tasty way of upping your protein intake.

    Enjoy :-)

No probs. Chicken is 20g of protein per 100g on average is sold at £2 per 200g that's 40g of protein for £2 vs 250g in liver for £1

Hope you enjoy the recipe, it's nice, it tastes really beefy ;-)

This recipe is also good if you add bacon in with it also works well with chicken liver!

That's good price for chicken. The fat is low, it's 3g per 100g of liver 0g carb, I use Philadelphia light cream cheese so the recipe is very low fat :-)
