I will agree with GH here in that I feel my best when I eat red meat as my primary protein source.
I also eat eggs and pork and a little chicken.
I also do use whey in my smoothies.
But... if you only can have one.... make it red meat.
Too many people IMO try the chicken and rice or whey shake 5 times a day... trying to avoid fat.
Also, there is more to life than protein, fat, and carbs....
