Just so for the record my father inlaw is black, he worked on Trump tower and was never allowed to walk in the front door.

That's just wrong. If all the employees entered through a different access than the general public uses, it's one thing.

Singling someone out for skin color, disability, etc. is just flat out discrimination and it's sickening.
There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

Yes of course, and that is a disgusting shame. And you saw that shame reflected in the actions of those white Americans this week. I believe the Proud Boys were there, thus some of these white Americans have shown pride in their position and actions & were in fact supported by the President himself.

My stance is that as a white American, I can get away with stuff based upon my whiteness. I have witnessed this in two professions that one would easily consider as being color blind. I am proud to have acted and continue to act properly and justly to everyone, despite the fact that I could get away with not doing so, by the color of my skin. Of that, I am proud. Regarding my pride in my country, I won’t bother to defend our values and principles.

I am in total agreement with everyone that we should not see others based upon the color of their skin and am proud to be a member of a forum that abides by ideals such as that.

    BG, please clarify...

I am confused, because as we all know, sometimes establishments require employees to enter through a certain point.

I’ll ask him exactly what was said come, but as I remember he wanted to go in and look in the building when it was done and they told him that Mr. Trump didn’t want Negroes or blacks to be seen in the building. Not 100% sure I’ll ask him when I see him this weekend.

    WOW...!!!

    BG, that's harsh.

If it is true, it wouldn't necessarily surprise me, either way.

As a Trump voter / supporter, I must admit that I am losing faith in him as a President...

I guess, voters like myself who were searching for somebody "different" to occupy the position of POTUS; well, we got what we were wishing for.

That was the crux of the issue, but it was all in his rhetoric. If we look at all of the policy actually passed during this presidency, it was absolutely no different than what we saw during the Obama/W/Clinton administrations.
It’s exactly the same shit that happened with Obama’s first term when he was in AND had the majority of both houses of Congress. The only thing that “changed” was the PPACA getting rammed through, which was nothing more than a gift package to the insurance companies who had been fucking the whole game up for decades to begin with.
The more things change and all of that. It’s to the point where your vote is just predicated upon what flavor of bullshit you want to be fed as the cattle car keeps rolling down the same track.

It’s telling that in this pivotal period in American history that the President hasn’t addressed the nation.

Kinda hard having faith in a president who doesn’t act presidential.
