Some supplements are ok lol but to be honest you will never ever beat real food.

There is a supplement forum so maybe you should post there for more help but imo id forget the supps..

You don't really need any supps to build muscle. Maybe once you have your training and diet top notch you can use creatine, both there's not much more you need. Even protein powders are kinda useless unless you are strapped for time. Food is always your best source to grow.

This is not true!! A Protein shake is much better for pre workout than an actual meal! It is a faster digesting protein than most food and therefore is actually better than most whole foods

This is pretty true. I really don't eat before the gym. Shakes are good for a quick fix. You don't want to be rolling up to the gym feeling like a fat ass cuz you just stuffed your face.

I do a meal around 1. Shake around 3. Get to the gym 330-4ish. And then once finished gym I put down another shake with a steak for dinner.

Negative. It was proven that Whey protein is not as fast digestion as poeple were thought to believe, it is a medium digestion protein at best. Alot of food is faster disgestion protein than that, like egg whites. And as for protein before the gym. Eating 1 hour before the gym will not have you "bloated", and having a protein shake as you walk into the gym will do nothing.

Are you talking about a carb shake? Because there's not much need for a straight protein shake before the gym... Only time you should be taking a protein shake is post workout.

Carbs are much more important before training, as if you only intake protein your body will burn the protein as energy due to gluconeogenesis. As for "liquid protein" yes it might reach your stomach faster, but the whey peptides themself will digest slower in your stomach than actual food, and the bioavailability of protein powder is not as high as real food.

We all know whole foods are obviously better.... But for the on the go i don't think its bad. I don't count mine as a meal though..

I personally only do it cause its a good quick fix as I'm walking out of the door of work to go to the gym. As well as have another with my dinner meal to give my body the extra protein after a hard workout.

As I stated above, Protein shakes are fine if your strapped for time, but they will never replace real food.
