it'll be a tough fight. I love GSP but I think BJ wants this really bad. I have a horrible feeling Bj has this one.

Also going with GSP. BJ certainly has the skills, I just think GSP is on top of his game right now. It will be a great rematch.
I know Im rooting for GSP. Its been said that if GSP wins, White wants to set up one more title fight (possible Thiago Alves) and then try to work out something for GSP to fight Anderson Silva. That would be a pretty amazing match-up!

i think BJ is going to be the more aggressive fighter but that GSP will outmatch him technically. Im rooting for GSP but it might be a close fight

Both are great fighters! its going to be a really incredible fight. Im very big fans of both GSP and BJ but too me it seems georges is overly cocky lately and that might just get the best of him. I am going to have to say BJ Penn on this one mainly because him and i have the same fighting ethics.. staying relaxed in the cage. cant wait till saturday.

My money is on Penn

Bj penn is going to destroy him. Raw talent, you see his training? it's nothing compared to other mma fighters. He is just one of the very few RAW talents in MMA. GSP thinks he is van dam or something. "Anyone that taps out due to punches is a little bitch." hahahahaha

i am from canada but i still think bj has the advantage. heavier hands, proven chin and the best td def in mma. if gsp wins it is via decision or penn gassing.

Alot of people have gsp as the #1 fighter in the world. Sorry, this to me is complete bs.

gsp has a lot going for him, I think he is a better athlete but he works harder to get that way. gsp is a better wrestler and take down. I think bj hit harder is faster with his hands and no contest bj bjj is at the top...Like I stated before I like both...so really it is a win win for me...

gsp ftw! actually, i wish bj would deck him, but he is too small to win, imho.

I am just hoping for a good competitive fight that does not end in controversy
-
01-29-2009, 01:07 AM #19
I think penn drops him and finishes with punches
-

penn is plus 155 so i think u get some good value there. going the distance is minus 215 paying a lot of juice but i just cant imagine this fight going 5 rounds
-

I can see it going that far but I see it by BJ just hanging on. If BJ wins i think it has to be withing rounds 1-2. GSP can go all day and will get tougher as the fight wears on

I am with you. I like them both but after seeing BJ talk and talk I lost all interest in him. He is a raw talent and one of the best fighters out there but no one can convince me that he didn't quit.

BJ said "i quit...i quit....i can't do this, man" If you download the ppv you'll hear him say this. His corner threw in the towel to save face.

I was buffalo wild wings watching and was wearing a G.S.P. shirt, was the only guy there going for him. It was great when BJ quit. I love how he was talking mad stuff about g.s.p for tapping, then he just gives up.
-
02-03-2009, 12:06 AM #32
yeah and days earlier he was talking about how gsp was a bitch for tapping to punches and how you'd never see him do that. i called a 4th round tko too.
gsp is my second fav fighter, bj is up there, but when he gets cocky and moves up in weight, he deserves to lose. look at anderson silva, probably the most capable of any of the champs to move up in weight, and he gets like the 10th ranked guy at 205, bj moves up and gets #1 first fight.
-

also, i was at hooters for it, and it was about 85% bj penn fans

^^^Not sure about that. There is no one out there with more natural talent and skill. His problem is that his work ethic is garbage and there are a million other things that he would rather do than fight.
-
02-03-2009, 06:27 PM #37
hes a rich boy, dont need to fight. Thinks its just somthing to do. Its a LIFE STYLE. You cant take 5 days of right before a fight and think its ok.
-
02-03-2009, 06:35 PM #38
Unfortunate but true. He does have a toughness about him that you cannot teach though. Even while he was getting his ass kicked by GSP he never looked frightened or worried. He just sat there with no real expression. I truly wonder how much he cares
-

I may have been going for gsp but I take bj penn over brock lesnar anyday. I hate that guy.
