I'm still speechless after yesterdays 128 second meltdown. Up 7 w/a minute and change, end up losing by 2. I really thought the lakers were getting this win yesterday, calls were favoring them the whole game, defense was solid, then they cough it up w/a minute left, twice, and jack up bad shots. I see the lakers winning game 3, but playing game 4 the next day will be tough. Why the hell is there back to back games this playoffs? This is the first i've seen and i've been watching since the 80's.

I think they shouldn't skip days unless they r travelling and I didn't think the calls favored the lakers...missed both ways but if anything favoring the thunder..reminds me...so they use instant replay in the NBA now? At who's discretion? Gonna have to order some challenge flags

Yea the turnovers at the end killed them, if they can prevent OKC from transition basketball they can win this series. Once the game starts getting fast paced with turnovers and nobody getting back on rebounding OKC just runs the floor. There's no way LA can keep up with the young fast OKC squad. LA did an outstanding job of setting the tempo and playing there style of basketball which is slower then OKC's style. If you watch the game OKC starts to go on a roll once they start causing turnovers and running the floor, they managed to score 6 points in like 45 seconds last night which was absurd. Realistically LA should have held them off with the time and deficient given and if you really want to get knity grity then Blake should have hit that wide open 3. If they can't capitalize on those 2 key moments then in all honesty they're not a championship caliber team as much as I hate to say it. Bright side is they were able to adjust to OKC in a matter of 48 hours and did an outstanding job, I think LA is getting closer to figuring out OKC style and being able to overcome it, the rest of the series will be great to watch.
I thought LA was getting helped out on the calls towards the end with some loose ball fouls and what not. OKC was getting the calls mostly when Harden was driving to the rim, I think it was called fairly both ways, a little more conservative then most post season games but fair none the less. I've seen instant replays implemented on buzzer beaters and out of bounds plays nothing else which I think is good because it's hard to see whos finger tips actually touched it last.

But they used it to tell who touched the ball last last night when LA was throwing it away...agree about the time control...it was as if LA wasnt aware they had the lead...just walk it down...back down...toss to bynum...he either get a look with 5 sec or hit someone on the perimeter using the whole shot clock...I actually like the thunder but atm it would make a better story for a comeback...ur right again about gasol needs to put on his big boy shorts...they all need to play up a level

Yes they play tonight to I can't wait. I'm not making anymore predictions until the game is over again, but I will predict that Miami is crumbling and having problems and there's nothing more I can ask for. They're going to get there asses critizied so hard if the Pacers knock them out...fingers crossed.

-
05-19-2012, 09:40 PM #112
Bynum and Kobe are goin off, Meta is hittin his 3's and class is in Sessions haha. Gasol is playing mediocre, nothing outstanding. I havn't seen Gasol make an impact since like game 4 against Denver lol.
-
05-19-2012, 09:49 PM #113
He's doing enough/clogging the lane....freeing up artest for good looks...he should have hit at least one more 3...defense and rebounding is good though
-
05-19-2012, 09:53 PM #114
I agree, they pointed it out that from the short time of games they thought the older guys from LA would be getting tired and drained out but it seems as if the OKC younger guys that are inexperienced are the ones suffering. LA is winning all the lose balls and out rebounding OKC to back up the statement.

-
05-19-2012, 10:52 PM #117
