Storing supplement vits in vitamin-box that's semi-opaque ok?

Well, not sure why all the vitamin boxes you find are that semi-opaque whitish color, but wondering if it's alright for storing all the pills in like vitamins and such?

I know certain nutrients can be affected and even destroyed by light, so I'm not sure why they're semi-opaque, and I was thinking about just spray painting it. However, if the amount of light that would get through there shouldn't affect them too much, I'll just leave it as is.

I can tell you though, using a pill-box is much better than having a whole vitamin shop on my night-table. Got my vitamins, magnesium, zinc, flax oil pills, melatonin, and a handfull of other things in there, and have the extras in the bottles stored in my drawer. Well, if anyone knows if this should be ok, I'd appreciate the feedback. Thanks.

I think as long as you don't put your pill box in direct sunlight you'll be ok. For all my extra bottles I bought a plastic tub with a lid and stuck it under my bed. I had them in my dresser drawer but started to take over the whole drawer.
