Does PWO glutamine really inhibit bodily uptake of PWO whey?
I mean significantly enough to really make a difference? I always have a carb drink mixed with N-Acetyl-L-Glutamine immediately after workout, and about 20 minutes later (when I get home) I have a whey shake. Now, I've heard that it's not a good idea to take glutamine in conjuction with whey, because they "compete" for uptake in the body. This sounds like crap to me, but I guess it's possible. Have I been shortchanging myself?

i've heard that too, i think it means that the glutamine you take competes with the glutamic acid in the whey. As to whether it's bs or not...don't know

Granted, that may be so, but it can't very well compete with all the other amino acids in the whey, can it? All I really want to know is whether or not glutamine immediately PWO + whey 20-25 minutes PWO will equal less gains than only whey 20-25 minutes PWO. One reason I take glutamine with the carbs PWO is that I have creatine in there too, and we all know glutamine and creatine work excellent together.
