cayenne pepper extract and upset stomache/bloating?

    Hey
I've been taking a fat burner lately
    It contains ephedra...
but it also contains cayenne pepper, about 500mg/pill
I often take 2 pills per day

Lately when I've been taking it, I've been really gassy and felt like I had to take a dump when I didn't - my stomache just felt unusual and full

Could it be the cayenne peppers?

Yea, Cayenne pepper can cause upset stomach. It shouldn't make you feel constipated though, if anything it would probably keep you regular.

Cayenne (Capsicum frutescens or Capsicum annuum) is a Flavon and as such is a vasodilator, causing blood vessels to dilate. Cayenne pepper is used commonly as a thermogenic and to improve blood circulation and general circulatory health.

Like Rattlehead stated it has been documented to cause stomach upset and does display mild laxative properties. So your constipation is most likely something else.
