simple sugars?
so some dude told me that i should eat gummy bears(or something with simple sugars in it) post workout before i take in my protein so that it will spike my blood insulin levels so my body can take in more proteine... can anyone confirm this is true?? details on when to take simple suggars etc?

Its not necessary and i sure as hell wouldn't recommend gummy bears. Complex carbs will replenish liver glycogen just as effectively. BCAAs is what I would use immediately post before you protein. Protein synthesis is whats critical post workout.

save all your sweet food you crave for post workout.. have some donuts etc.
or you could be all healthy and eat a peice of fruit.

I have a squeeze bottle of honey handy pwo. then i do a PWO protein shake about 15 minutes later, although the BCAA would probably be more specific than the "complete" protein stuff I slug down from costco.
