Is there really THAT big of a difference?

Ok guys. I need some insight here. Is there really that big of a difference in the fish oil from GNC and the fish oil from somewhere cheaper? Say maybe Walmart?

no. But there's a big difference between those 2 and LEF products.

What should we be looking for on the label? I used to take a fish oil supplement from Sam's Club but I never paid attention to the ingredients listed.

I took fish oil with that other thing chodrotin/glucosamine complex and never had any significant results. I have not tryed krill oil which is supposed to be 10x better than fish oil and is actually medically proven to give relief. But I find nothing works better than Deca /NPP lol

I take gnc's triple strength fish oil twice a day every day. I switched from advocares fish oil bc gnc's was more potent and I didn't have to order it. But if a cheaper one is just as good I'd b glad to switch. I read that ALOT of fish oil on the shelves at some places was rancid and no good. So idk.

It can YES,,but some products are similar. I wouldnt buy products from either place mentioned myself,,EVER.

I think gnc is a bunch if garbage. My sons doctor took 4 multis and sent them to consumer laboratories for a potency test. She tested arbonne (ended up 98%), Kirkland 95%, the gnc and other company's multis had just over 50% of what was stated on the bottle actually in the pill.

Another thing I noticed recently is all Kirkland (Costco) vitamins bottles have a stamp on them that says USP tested for purity and cleanliness. Plus Costco vitamins are like 1/4 the price. No I don't work for Costco just seem to always get excellent products from them

The reasons GNC is a weak outlet for the experienced user are both product & staff. GNC needs to take a much closer look at their human resources department. I don't take pleasure in "stumping" an employee or ever make an attempt at embarrassing them, however, these guys are clueless. Completely clueless. And they recommend things based on the most mind boggling ideas. Where they come up with the nonsense they spew I have no idea. It seems they hire anyone who is breathing, with no regard to qualifications.

One of the supplement stores I don't mind visiting is Total Nutrition. The employees are trained to respond, when they do not know an answer with "That's a great question, let me find out". At which point they're required to research the question for the customer. This builds trust and rapport with the consumer. A total FAILURE at GNC.

Furthermore; you see more "As seen on TV" stickers at GNC than any other place. Every company has aggressive marketing tactics, but GNC seems to eat that stuff up like no tomorrow. You want your product in GNC? Simple, just pay for an infomercial and present it to them. Really silly because the majority of these products are complete nonsense. You'll find a few decent products there, but they're too stupid to understand value. I'll give an example...

One of the hardest things to find is Micronized L-Arginine in pill form. GNC partnered with a company and developed a product called "Rapid Drive Arginine 5000", where 4 pills would serve you 5000 mg of Micronized L-Arginine. It did not sell very well, because it wasn't on TV. Simply manufactured and put on the shelf with a couple of posters in the stores and a door clinger. Weak. After so much time they actually discontinued the product. This was a GREAT product. The failure was 100% due to poor training. I personally could have sold them out of the product if I worked there.

They survive by name and volume, with everyone else advertising for them. (Buy this product at GNC, etc..)

If the majority of the public were informed, GNC would be out of business faster than you can blink. However, the majority are clueless, never read a product label and believe everything a salesman says. But that's their way of business and it works for them. Nothing you can do. Personally, I'll never step foot in GNC again, ever.

I have definitely noticed the very eager to sell sales men. They speak nothing of nutrition or training, just how 50 different products will bring you to your goals. I don't buy anything there either. I am a bit of an Internet whore. But in a pinch its vitamin shoppe or Costco

The only time I buy anything from them is when its on sale marked WAY down with a coupon or something but one thing I do like is the 30 day return on products u don't like. Does anyone else do that?

Costco does. I don't think there is a time limit either on returns. Vitamin shoppe has no returns.
