It's not going to make a noticeable difference either way but theoretically you're better off with the casein unless you take the same amount of casein in the blend.

Real Food. Sirloin steak. This is the best time for some semi fatty red meat. Or if youre not into red meat cottage cheese or natty nut butters will do the trick

Yes. Their have even been whey products that have used vegetable oils to slow down the digestion of whey. Nitrovarin was a popular one

Just in my experience(kinda brief) but healthy fats(nuts, meats, cottage cheese, avocados etc) w/casein has a much better effect(IMHO) on preventing catabolism while asleep.... Just my experience....

I just started using casein at night and seems to be working good for me, I stay full all night and I don't wake up too hungry. Can't speak for the blends

If I have a shake before bed it is casein, I will throw in some BCAA's with it. Depends if I have any meat left over from dinner or not that determines if I have a shake.

Agreed.. My bedtime nutrition consists of 1 cup Friendship no salt added cottage cheese, a couple tablespoons of powdered peanut butter, 1/2 serving of whey or plant based protein powder, almond milk added till it's at a good consistency, then a handful of blackberries, blueberries & one cut up banana.

Looking forward to that makes eating clean all day easy for me, It's delicious!

Meat & whole eggs for late dinner before going to sleep. Because I like it, cottage cheese retains water in me.
