Unbearable Itching on Treadmill
Hey bros,
I have been trying to run on the treadmill, with very litlte success. After 10-15 minutes in, my legs start itching so bad (REALLY BAD) that I feel like itching them until ripping the skin off. Eventually I have to stop because the discomfort is just too big. Same thing happens when walking at a faster pace. Interesting thing is that I have no problem doing the elliptical machine or the bike. It seems that the impact of my feet on the floor triggers some sort of reaction.
Why does this happen? Anybody else had this? What can I do?
Thanks

Start showering after your workouts.

I Know Exactly What You Are Talking About As The Same Thing Has Happened To Me A Few Times, Especially If I Had A Good Workout And Am Already Sweating. If You Think You Are Going To Be Doing Alot Of Cardio, You May Actually Want To Try Taking A Shower Before You Workout, Or At Least Put On Some Antibacterial Powder Like Gold Bond.

Do you use any lotion before you exercise? Lotion can will clog up the pores and may cause your legs to itch some. I used to run a lot in HS and my coach always said to the girls to never lotion before a race because it wouldn't allow your legs to "breathe" while you run.
Just a thought --

That's just freaky. Although my scalp would itch when I used this crappy shampoo by White Rain. That cheap stuff sucks ass. I my mom used to buy that stuff. I just saved up my allowance and started buying my own Suave. I think I was the only 13 year old kid buying his own hair care products. They must have thought I was gay.

I think its got to do with lack of oxygen to your legs. Thats when I feel this increbidle itching.

p.s.
Try non-irritating fabrics while training if it proves to be clothing-related as opposed to health-related.
