Sufficent cardio???
hi all, i will be starting a new cutting diet shortly, and as a part of this routine mi will incorporate cardio into this workout.the diet will be very strict, and im looking at dropping about 5%BF(goal) in the shortest amount of time possible.how much cardio is reccomended?i was thinking about 45 min./A.m. on empty stomach, and watch my results and do more if needed.or should i incorporate 2 sessions of cardio to optimize the fat burning?
another quick ?...will dividing the 45min. routine inbetween incline walk/eliptical/bike hinder this process? thanks.its a pain in the ass doing on thing for the entire session.

I would do the one 45-50min session in the a.m. and see how it works...if you don't think you're losing fast enough, you could always reconsider later. Just wouldn't want to risk losing too much muscle with 2 sessions of cardio right off the bat.
There are times when I'll jump from one machine to another (stay on each for 15m) and I've been fine...so I don't think it's a big deal at all...at least it'll keep you goin'!!

your calorie intake will be a major player in your fat loss. my recommendation would be eat at, or just below, your maintenance calorie level if you are doing cardio everyday, and becareful to not stray too far from it so you aren't burning muscle as Epiphany stated...

play it byear, pick the cardio that seems to work best for you dividing it up into different exercises is fine, am and pm session is ok as well, just make sure you do no less than 20 minutes at one time anything less is a waste IMO
