Every body part I train its sore for least 4 days??

For some reason after I train chest, back, calfs,....I stay sore for atleast 4 days....I do bout 4 excercises for each and only train each body part once a week except calfs. Im competing in august, so I still wanna try ta put on some size. I sleep 8 ta 10 hours a night, Im on high protein diet, carbs arent too low, and I dont drink or party any more since im gonna be doin a show.My week is Mon-Chest, Tues-Back,calfs,abs , Wed off, thur-Arms,calfs, abs, fri-legs, sat-Shoulders,calfs,abs, sun off. For my weight -190lbs I put up heavy weight for 12 reps...I dont go lower then 10 reps. What do you think is goin on? Do you think I should instead of 4 sets, or I should knock it down ta 3. For mass excercises I so 4 sets, but for definition or concetration I do 3 sets. Let me know what you guys think.

first of all i dont like your split but if your making progress i wont tell ya different. Your doin too much abs and calves IMO and they dont need to be worked more than any other bodypart. they do not have "special" muscle fibers that need more frequency. For intance i used to do abs evey other day, and now i just do once a week, 10 reps heavy and for the first time in my life last summer when i began doin this i had ABS. No other training protocal did that for abs.
I dont know why your sore so much. i get sore too, but no real real sore, except for leg days. Mine dont last 4 days unless i just came off a loyoff.
I also think 4 excersise for a bodypart is a bit much. persoanlly i found ONE works best, except for chest i'll do 2.
maybe its a protein issue. i take close to 2 grams per pound of bodyweight.
If your sore, so what? Are you getting stronger? are you making progress on your routine? Thats the question to ask.
