    Strength gains while cutting?

Is it possible to gain strength while cutting?? Drug -free that is. On one hand you are losing weight which shold make your bulking lifts harder, true??

i was planning to go on a powerlifting routine (the german block training) in september since i would liek to increase my strength in my lifts.

WOuld it be contradictory to a cutting diet, though?

I have experienced strenght gains while cutting for sure...I mean right now I'm dieting for a contest and every lift im looking to inrease my lifts from the week before...I mean even if ur cutting your protein is gonna be high, so I don't see why not...Now will the size gains be there? Ofcourse not, but ur still adding some Lean Muscle, maybe not as much, but some!!!

When I cut down, I go straight to powerlifting style workouts...keeps me from over-training while dieting and in fact, I do go up in strength.

The only issue is that I can only workout 2-3x a week since my body is so sore from heavy Deads/Bench/Squats and Chins...
