    suggestions - how many times a week on muscles

    hey guys. and ladies..
    how many times a week do you work out each muscle group?? do you try and get each muscle group in twice a week.. or do you spread each muscles workout through out the week. and only do it once?
    im only doing each muscle once right now.. giving my muscles a good 5-6 day rest inbetween.. but ive been having a problem lately with results and gaining weight.. i was thinking if i could get in each muscle group twice a week.. i could grow faster.. but im afraid of over training.. and not giving my muscles the right amount of time to rest, and grow.. is there anybody how works out each muscle group twice a week? how does that work out for you.. and do you get overly tired during the week?
    any feedback would be appreciated

    IMO if you are hitting it hard enough, once a week is more than enough !

    thanks boys.. thats why i asked about, being tired hitting each muscle twice.. i get tired enough hitting it once!! id be busting my nuts hitting it twice.. but i think im going to try it next week.. just to check it out

    ive gone from 3x to 2x a week,id wait 36 hours at least b4 hitting the muscle again.but 3x can be benificial,but it needs to be noted that volume must be adjusted to compensate for the frequency.

    I agree. Try putting more into each set and get plenty of rest and quality food and you will grow.
