    My mass DELT routine.........

SUCKS! I am just stalled out. My trainer says to start with lat raises which is fine, and then he swears by the smith for presses. I have been using dbells for the last couple of weeks, should I move it to the smith? Here she is....and thoughts?
    THURS
    seated lateral raise 3 x 6 to 10

    dbell press 2 warms x 12
    dbell press 4 x 6-10
    bent laterals 3 x 8 to 12
    dumbell front raises 2 x 8 to 12
    TRIS
    skull crushers incline 5 x 6 to 10
    cable press down 3 x 8 to 12
    rope cable 1 x dropset

Too many isolated movements and not enough compound IMO. Try movements like dumbell/barbell military, close grip rows to chin, one arm side lateral (move more weight with better form), then go with a few heavy isolated movements with very strict form and a proper negative. Shoulders are a very precise muscle that is easy to cheat when going too heavy, yet it takes a lot of weight to make them grow which makes it a tricky muscle group to hit properly. Goodluck.

My recent routine has been something like this:
Standing side laterals - always do this first, helps me warm up properly.
Barbell/dumbell military press - alternate between barbell and dumbell week-week
Upright rows - this is supersetted with the presses
Cable quarter turn front-raises - really helps to bring out the roundness I find
Bent over laterals or reverse pec-deck - sometimes will use cables for this as well.

Like all my training I stay in the 8-10 rep range in most cases, sometimes going to 12.

Thanks bro, I will be the first to admit my shoulders used to be complete shit, didnt focus on them enough and they lagged. I have really tried to improve my routine over the last 6 months or so and the improvement has been just amazing. I am gonna continue with this type of routine for some time to come.
