How can i motivate myself to do theses damn boring cardio machines
Sorry everyone but got damn it, i got back in the gym after bad injury everything seems to be going well.
I love lifting weights, even if right now i got to do machines for the rehab, i can always do the chin up gravitron machine which is awsome, the vertical bench press i great and i put heavy on all machines, i find to have a better physique to when doing machines.
BUT BUT BUT when i try to do cardio like the stairmaster, treadmil and elliptical machine i get bored out of my brain.
I feel like i am going true the motion and after 5 minutes i step off the machine out of pure borness.
Any tricks on how to keep up with my cardio i know its a necessary evil i am 34 and have 20-30 pounds to lose.
My diet is in check and my weight training routine has well 3 times a week whole body workout.
Thanks everyone.

Nothing wrong with the machines, using them makes you focus more on the muscle group youre working on. Especially if someone in rehab. As far the motivation..well... it doesnt matter machines, free weights or cardio. You have to set Your goals, if You really want to reach them, You will sit Your butt on that machine or whatever it is and workout untill You are where You want to be.
Good luck man! Stay motivated!

listen to some music, read a good book. I usually read and time is up before I know it.

Just find a hot chick doing cardio and park right next to her that should be enough.

Being 34 i feel kind of weird looking at the hot 20 something year old chicks.
I dont have the looks i add when i was in my 20, lets just say the 40 inch waiste doesn help, Damn chubby look, and you can tell that theses so called hot chicks are offended when you look at them.
Still nothing prevents me at looking at the menu and i am happy in love so i aint ordering nothing off it.
But some of them meal smell so damn good LOL

Music makes a huge difference. Listen to something that you enjoy. Bring a book, or magazine aswell.
My gym has TVs at the cardio section, so I watch tv while doing cardio. The time usually goes by very quickly then.

Get a MP3 player and put the music that gets you hyped. I hope you don't listen to Kenny G or f*kn love songs they play at the gym.

At my gym, almost all of the cardio machines have individual TV screens which have Audio/Video connections in the back. So I went and bought that new iPod that plays videos and the AV cable connection for it(which can be found in the Apple Store), so now I watch movies while doing cardio.....which makes it a lot better.
