Cardio and THE BIKE
Does anyone use the bike on their off days to do cardio? Just wondering how effective it is...I walk on an incline most morning, but thinking about a good 30 minute pm session.......curious if people use the recumberant or upright and what works for them? Moderate? Slow? HIIT?

one day i might do the stair master, stationary bike, recumbant bike, elpitcal or treadmill...
Low intensity cardio for 65-70% of my max heart rate..

Truthfully the above two pieces of equipment are all i believe one needs.
When i use the stair master i lose leg sweep.

ahh... crank up the resistance...

drop it down some more gear or resistance, and spin quicker then your heart rate will go up

^^ Shouldn't a retired spin instructor know this?

comparing a spinning and recumburant bike is like apples and walnuts.........
I know to increase the resistance, but it just donest do it for me on thos cheeap bikes......come to my class Nark.....you want an intense cardio session........thats why I was thinking of the recumburant as an "in-betweener"

^^ i don't use a recumbant... I have, but not as a mainstay.
I've posted that i think it's garbage: the easy-boy recliner of exercise machines.
I do my cardio on the spin bike; my road bike... or the incline treadmill.
