the stretching works, thats for sure. as for the routine, try it and see. i get injured whenever i push the limits required. so i dont do it anymore, just the stretching.

Haro, I have been hitting the DC method now for only 6 weeks-absolutely love it, I can't see me training any other way from here on out. First week was tough to make myself do, but it really does the for me, most gains I can recall in a "natuaral" state. Stretching works both to help prevent injury and to stretch fascia-
The muscle is already nice and warm from the working sets, so this is the most beneficial time to stretch, not only does it stretch the Fascia, but aids in recouperation and helps to bring shape to the muscle. In-Human

Done both, prefer HIT by far. DC is good but different.
Workout partner is a must, at the very least you'll need a spot for each set. But that goes with any routine IMO if you want to go to failure.

I'm researching DC training right now and I'll probably be starting a new routine soon. I'll probably post up my log here (an important aspect of DC training). As a side note, I'll be starting DC training while I'm still natural, but I'll be starting a cycle when I find out how DC training affects my growth.

Not to take anything away from Dante, but do realize all DC training is, is a spinoff of HIT training personalized by DC himself. My best advice (and what I've done) is to read through all forms of HIT (mentzer's/DC/Ironman/Dorian's/etc), try each one and then over time incorporate what has worked from each into your own style. Since doing this I've made the best gains in my life and I spend half the time in the gym.

You will find a lot of DC users utilize machines in their workouts to compensate for not having a partner, so long as you use compound movements/maximal effort you have a winner. And to be honest, I have a partner and in this style he has been somewhat of a hinderance is certain situations so far as timing. As for workout layouts, I am hardly qualified to give you one, but here is a couple of very informative websites regarding DC training.

First week sucked, I felt I was not getting a pump, didn't feel at all like I was even working out. But I promised myself I would give it a few weeks, and not try to change it, once I learned to really lay it all on the table and kick my ass every set I was sold. Plus, like IB said, I spend half the time in the gym I used to, and still get my work in.

ive used DC (IMO a modified form of HIT) with good success, if you go onto intense-muscle you will constantly be told you arent doing it right but thats another story. I have learned for me It is just all about intensity in the gym, go in beat the livingshit out of the weights progressivly increase the weights week by week and try to guage were you stand w/ overtraining and your good. just remember it emphasizes what we all should be doing and that is putting 110% into all our endevours wether it be training or life in general.

Been using DC training for 2-3 months now. At first it was very tough to get used to (one big set, the extreme stretching, working out only 3 days a week), but i gave it some time and have never been as strong as i am now. i havent gained that much overall weight, but thats due to my diet. as for as the training goes, i am pushing the most weight ive ever pushed. i love it. cuttin w/o times in half is also a good thing!

DC training will prob be overtraining for most people, but the theory behind it it spot on(imo). I have used to IronMan HIT training program which is alittle more practical for the average person, and have seen AMAZING strength and size gains. I will never train one body part once a day. once a week EVER again!!
